The Tour is aimed at giving a glimpse of the 2.800 years old city of Napoli. It will guide you through the historical centre, corresponding to the ancient Greek town of Parthenope and to the Roman forum, and through the monumental area where most of the buildings dated XIV to XIX century are located.
Construction of Napoli Royal Palace was started in 1600 by the Spanish-Habsburg king Felipe III, and had contributions over two and half centuries by famous architects such as Fontana, Genovese, Vanvitelli and Sanfelice.
Built in 1737, 41 years before la Scala in Milan and 55 years before la Fenice in Venice, the San Carlo Theatre is the oldest Opera House of the world.
The Galleria Umberto I is a market building built at the end of the XIX century, featuring and impressive iron and glass dome roof.
In the Cappella San Severo you will find the famous statue of the Cristo Velato (Veiled Christ) by Giuseppe Sanmartino.
The majolica-covered Santa Chiara Closter was built in 1739 by Domenico Antonio Vaccaro, and is considered an unsurpassed masterpiece of the majolica art.
Then there is pizza …. is there anything to add about pizza in Napoli? You’ll experience the real one!
The price for the Tour is € 70 per person, which includes English-speaking guide, entrance tickets to the Royal Palace, San Carlo Theatre,
Santa Chiara Closter and Cappella San Severo, and the Pizza-break.
